Description

M5 is my first globular with the SVX152T. This is a single night, weather has been uncooperative so am departing from my usual of over-collecting data and trying to do what I can with one night's data.

This has 34 x 240s of Blue, 36 x 240s of Green, and 36 x 240s of Red, for a total of about 7 hours. A synthetic luminance was formed from the mean of the linear fit red, green, blue.

M5 is about 24,000 light years away in Serpens, and just at or below the brightness where the human eye can see it in dark skies.

I welcome criticism or suggestions.

Linwood
