Description

The bright yellow star is Antares. Left of it is a Globular Cluster. Down from that in the red Hydrogen cloud is Alniyat. The blue area at the bottom of the large triangle contains Rho Ophiuchus, actually the brightest of 3 double stars there.

I've taken many pictures of this part of the sky but this particular area always excites me. My star photos are getting better with time and all those bold coloured gas clouds are now much clearer. There's also a bit of green from the airglow of the atmosphere to complete the rainbow. First attempt with Astrobin after many years attempting Astrophotography.
