Description

NGC7822 captured in narrowband. NGC 7822 is an emission nebula in Cepheus, about 3,000 light-years away. It's a star-factory region.

I tried several combinations but like this Dynamic version from www.thecoldestnights.com :
  • R = (Oiii^~Oiii)*Sii + ~(Oiii^~Oiii)*Ha
  • G = ((Oiii*Ha)^~(Oiii*Ha))*Ha + ~((Oiii*Ha)^~(Oiii*Ha))*Oiii
  • B = Oiii

This was also the first time out trying the GeneralizedHyperbolicStretch script. It seemed to do a good job not bloating stars nor creating unwanted artefacts.

Post processing included the LocalFuzzyHistogramHyperbolization and DarkStructureEnhance scripts which both seemed to add good contrast.
