Description

Last time I have used the Canon 6D I struggled a lot with light leaks and parasite reflections. Every time the results were bad. In truth it was not so bad as you can see here but i have reached that result thanks to huge help of the Dynamic Background Extraction and I was able to extrapolate  some decent data.

I was so frustrated that I own a great camera, with a full frame sensor and it wasn't possible to use it with the Skywatcher 250 Quattro. So I made some research on the web and I discovered that it is a common problem with this kind of cheap telescopes.

Reflections were coming from unknown places so I decided to find a really black paimting to opacify everything that was possible.

I started from spider screws... sincerely they have a reflection index like primary mirror !!! I did the same with the final part of focuser and the inner side of tube behind the secondary mirror.
Another suspected place where reflections was coming from was the Baader RCC I coma corrector. I painted it too, the border and the inner thread near the lens.
I was so curious to see if those fixes resolved that kind of problems... so I pointed to Cocoon nebula and made some frames and with surprise I saw that the field was really flatter than before!

But...(there is often a "but" damn!) I noted that it was present another diffracted circled reflection due to the TeleskopExpress extension tubes used for reach the correct back focus of Coma Corrector...They are painted black but was shining like a diamond!!! After I painted it the rainbow disappeared!!!!

Finally I designed and made with the 3d printer a mask for primary mirror and now I'm starting to be happy with this telescope! However after a year since I bought it.
