Description

M109 is a small barred spiral galaxy (8.1 x 5.6 arcmin) located some 82 Mly away in the constellation Ursa Major. This galaxy contains 3 satellite galaxies. A supernova (SN1956a) was detected in 1956. Total LRGB integration was 5.6 hours over 2 nights in January.
