Description

M96 is a spiral galaxy located in Leo and is about 31 Mly distant.  It is roughly the same size as our Milky Way galaxy.  In this view, I've only cropped out the stacking artifacts, and have left the surrounding area in the image.  What is fascinating is that at about the 10 o'clock position from the center of the galaxy there is a slightly reddish/brown streak apparent in M96.  Upon looking at this wonderful image here: https://www.messier-objects.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Messier-96.jpg ...one can see this as another edge-on galaxy "behind" M96, along with many fainter galaxies unresolved in my image.

I've included an annotated version which shows several smaller/fainter galaxies in the save FOV, along with some asteroids (in yellow font here).  Specifically, asteroid 2684 Douglas is at about the 5 o'clock position, and is listed at magnitude 16.37 and you can see in the annotated view the movement of the asteroid as more of a fuzzy stream from lower-left to upper-right.
