Description

Sh2-171 is an HII emission nebula and star forming region mostly in Cepheus.  The shape and obscuring molecular clouds look a lot like the Elephant's Trunk.Narrowband.  Hydrogen-alpha as red.  Oxygen III as cyan.  Sulphur II as yellow.  Stars slightly reduced.
