This is my take on this interesting region right next to the North America Nebula. While looking for details for this nebula I found that it is also mentioned as The Clamshell Nebula - maybe because of its shape and the shiny star inside which resembles a pearl.

This object is situated on the background of the Milky Way - which means lots of stars. StarNet saved the day here. With its help I managed to pull out the nebula and decrease the brightness of the stars.

The area has some beautiful dark clouds in it. When I platesolved the image I found a lot of LBNs as well as LDNs it in. On the upper right corner one can see NGC 7044 - a 12th magnitude open star cluster situated 11 000 light years from us with an estimated diamerer of 19 light years.
