Description

A last minute decision and a tremenduos moonlight fight using the latest Optolong Quadband Enhance filter, with our natural satelite in a almost full Moon (it was about 94.1% of illumination) and just a few degrees of the Leo constellation, in order to catch the periodic comet who goes by the name of 62P/Tsuchinshan, that by the time of this photograph, was in conjunction with the Leo Triplet and in a magnitude of about 5. On April, 2st 2049, astronomers estimate that the comet will  pass by 0,011 AU (1.600.000 km) from the planet Mars. It will be a great target to revisit if we already have established a colony on the red planet.

5h:20min = 64 x 300s (RGB CFA + Optolong L-QEF) - Gain 100 - Bin 1x1 - Offset 70 - Focal Lengh 300mm

50 Darks + 50 Dark Flats + 40 Flats

The Moon was in the Waning Gibbous phase at 94.1% of illumination, in a Bortle scale of 4 (21,63 Mag/Arc.Sec. SQM).
