Finally... finally.... FINALLY, I was able to get out and image after three months of rain, storms, mosquitos, etc...

The moon was almost full so I finished dialing in the image train on the 110GTX for spacing and tilt and started collecting data in Ha on the Propeller Nebula. I am really impressed with this telescope. I think Roland hit the ball out of the park with the 110, and I am able to get excellent stars all the way to the extreme corners with the IMX455 "big" chip. This sensor is a true torture test for optics, and the user for mitigating tilt and spacing.

I hope to get a few more nights in the next week or so to collect Sii and Oiii and make a color image of this region.

My initial impressions of this scope is that it is the ultimate widefield imaging astrograph. Congrats AP on another world class release!

EDIT- Color version added. There are some really interesting structures in O3. The is a small object near the bottom just left of center that is only in O3. Also, opposite of the propeller there appears to be a very large supernova remnant.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
