Description

A nice day for star gazing yesterday. There were some rain in the morning, but cleared at noon. By evening, we could see tens of miles away.

The weather changes very fast in Guizhou mountains. We drove 3 hours for it, but only got like 5 minutes of clear sky before the locally born clouds covered the sky. I guess that's due to the rain in the morning and sunshine in the afternoon. After dark the water in the air quickly cool down into clouds.

I prepared a little lecture for the kids about West and Chinese constellations. This is the only survived picture of that.

The image shows about half of the Canglong (Azure Dragon), four constellations out of seven of the East it represents (房宿,心宿,尾宿,箕宿) and the head of Xuanwu (Black Tortoise), one out of seven constellations of the North (斗宿).
