Description

Hi All

I did this  image of the Iris Nebula  back in January 14th the same night I did M108 and M97.

I was inspired by Francesco image he did on the 4th March 2024 with the surrounding dust clouds.
I was hoping to emulate his wonderful image.
To be honest this was a very hard image to process this is the best that I can do with the Iris nebula.
The Iris Nebula, also known as NGC 7023 and Caldwell 4, is a beautiful object in the night sky.
It is a reflection nebula, which means that it shines by reflecting the light of a nearby star, HD 200775.
The Iris Nebula is located in the constellation Cepheus, about 1,300 light-years away from Earth.
It has a diameter of about six light-years and a brightness of magnitude 6.8.
The nebula resembles a blue flower with dark petals, which gives it its name.

Thank you for checking out this image and wishing you all clear skies.
Regards Tam
