Description

Shot 6-6-21 at Geauga Observatory (Bortle 4). This target has been a goal of mine all Summer. Because of clouds that rolled in, I ended up shooting this image in two different sessions (same night). Since the clouds were to the SE, I was able to shoot another target (Sadr region of Cygnus) until the clouds eventually cleared. My original plan was to shoot widefield at 70mm to capture some of the MW core. But my framing was off a bit between the two sessions and ended up cropping down to the Rho Ophiuchi region. Approximately 73 minutes total acquisition.

Hopefully I’ll be able to revisit this target in the near future.

Description: This a revision of my original image shot in June. I used several techniques I have learned over the Summer.
