Note: This is a big animation file so it may some time to download! Best to view on a big screen as the size of the animation is 3458 x 1387 pixels.

I decided that I sacrifice my lunch break for solar imaging. I had time to take data for about 31 minutes. During that time I managed to get 44 videos each with 20 sec of data at 164 FPS. I made a pause of 20 sec between videos. All this is processed so that (from left to right) I show (a) inverted black and white, (b) inverted colorized, (c) normal colorized and (d) normal black and white frames. This was on the north western edge of the Sun but for visualization purposes I rotated this 90 degrees to look better on the screen.

This took about 310 GB of data and more than 140 000 frames of raw video. Then I put all my PC cores to "burn test" for stacking with AS3, processing with ImPPG and additional processing with who knows how many layers in Photoshop. Final product, here as gif animation, is also built with Photoshop.

And as usual: Firecapture with 6 ms exposures at gain of 125. Best 400 frames stacked from each video having around 3200 frames in total.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
