Description

Observed on 25 September 2016 at the Okie-Tex Star Party with a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: I spotted this globular cluster as a dim patch at 63x. Additional magnification made it very hard to see and added no detail. It does not appear to be well concentrated.

Observed on 8 September 2023 at the Okie-Tex Star Party with a 22” Obsession UC Dobsonian: NGC 6235 is irregularly shaped and does not brighten towards the center. No halo seen. No colors noted. No stars resolved.

Position w.r.t. core of galaxy: Above the disc on the far side of the center of the Milky Way.
