Description

Another project from the New Horizon led by @Tim Schaeffer and editor @William Ostling

SNR G126.2+01.6 was partially imaged by Nicolas Outters in 2020: SNR G126.2+01.6 – Outter'space Astrophotography (outters.fr)

We took on this region to image this low surface brightness SNR and its surrounding regions. Imaging was done in my backyard, which is slowly becoming light polluted. In the course of imaging, I ran into halos with the O3 filter, and I had to get Chroma replace it with their F/3 version once I explained my imaging train.

Presented in Final is Will's edit and mine as a revision.

The OIII emission as shown in radio and spectral index study:

SH2-186
SH 2-186 is ionized by the B0 III giant Hiltner 102 and is part of the Cas OB7 association.

Conclusion:
Overall, this was a fun region/project to image and collaborate. I'm looking forward to imaging interesting regions up in the night sky!

Hope you like this result. Clear skies!
