M81, an exercise in patience and a foolish test! I decided since I use galaxy season to experiment as I have too much light pollution to deal with for broadband targets executed well. I decided to take 15 sec. luminance subs and 30sec RGB subs to try and navigate the trifecta of light pollution. First of all I have city light to the south and the dome extends over my yard. Second I was dealing with an 85% full moon at 55 degrees altitude. If the wasn't enough the Sun decided to fire some high energy particles at the Earth and create a very nice aurora display. So for me it doesn't get any worse than this! I attached a screen grab from my sky cam of the Aurora (Revision B), the white balance is off as it is sensitive to IR light as well. Then came to integration, which took Pixinsight 79 hours to complete (Revision C)! I guess the 3000+ frames were too much for the old girl to chug through! Anyway, the experiment is over, nearly 3000 sub frames under brutal conditions gave me a decent representation of M81, details are a bit soft, and the gradients were difficult to navigate, but if your determined enough and have patience, it can be done under heavy and dynamic LP conditions.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
