Nebulas SH-2 115 and 116, situated in the constellation Cepheus, are captivating celestial regions that offer a glimpse into the intricate process of star formation within our Milky Way galaxy.SH-2 115, also known as Simeis 57, is an emission nebula that glows due to the intense radiation emitted by the young, hot stars forming within it. Located approximately 3,000 light-years away from Earth, this nebulous cloud spans a significant portion of the sky and exhibits a striking reddish hue, attributed to ionized hydrogen gas emitting characteristic red radiation. On the other hand, SH-2 116 is a reflection nebula, which doesn't emit its own light but instead reflects the illumination from surrounding stars. This creates a stunning bluish tint, making SH-2 116 a remarkable sight. This nebula is also involved in the process of star formation, as it envelops a young star cluster.
