Description

Cold weather and turbulence from high level winds are making processing difficult.

I am starting to understand the quirks of my Celestron AS-GT CG-5 equatorial mount and so I am now reducing my ROI to 800x600 so that I can get 208 FPS to try to push through the bad seeing.  Still Mars being so high in the sky means even though Mars is farther away than previous oppositions, I feel I am getting better images than my previous work.

You can see the Valles Marineris, a cloud cap at the poles, and several other features.  I hope to capture more as it gets closer to opposition.
