I am sharing what I managed to capture during a clear night in March. The Moon was up so I put my narrowband filter on and started to hunt for PNs
I remember that I shot the Gemini Nebula several years ago and decided to give it another go in order to compare what comes out of the C9.25 vs the C6.
It took me a while to process the data but here it is. NGC 2371 is quite small - 1.2 x 0.9 archmin. Nevertheless it shows interesting structures and resembles a candy
I love its blue color as well.
Unfortunately I was unable to stack my old C6 data with the new one. Pixinsight refused to align the frames. The old data has a lot of coma so I guess this is the reason. Despite this I made a comparison between the old processing, new processing of the old C6 data and the new C9.25 data. This difference in my opinion is quite small but the C9.25 shows a slightly clearer image. But maybe the conditions were better that night in March so I can not make a firm conclusion. I enjoyed the whole process of acquisition and processing and comparison so it was worth it
