Description

SH2-170, also known as the "Little Rosette" Nebula, is an H2 region located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. This region of gas and dust is located about 7500-light years away in the Perseus arm of our Milky Way galaxy. Using the 533MM with the Esprit 120, I have been targeting smaller emission regions that would potentially look good framed in a square format. This target is bright but also surrounded by a lot of faint gentle wisps of gas. I played with many different combinations to come to a natural looking narrowband combination using all the main narrow band wavelengths. The SII was very strong in this area and I wanted to make sure to utilize it.

Thanks for looking
Dan.
