Description

IC405, the Flaming Star Nebula is both an emission and flection nebula in the constellation Auriga. The bright blueish star is AE Aurigae shinning at +6.0 magnitude. It is causing the blue reflection nebulosity. This had been a challenging object for me because of the time of year it is up in January/February. A permanent observatory greatly helped.
