Description

Back in June I brought the little ONTC 150mm inside to adjust the drawtube alignment. When it went back into the dome onto Mach 1 I decided to redo the pointing/tracking model. After doing so I pointed at M-13 and acquired 44x60sec unguided subs through RGB filters as a test of both the optics and the mount's core unguided performance. At the time I just looked at the subs and decided things were OK but never bothered to process the result!  Today I happened to find the subs and did so.

This is not very deep at only 44min per filter but it was fun to process and share the result from June 19.  Thanks so much for looking!

2nd revision was stretched with arcsin rather than masked stretch..  Seems to result in a better core for M13 itself.  Also!   BlurXterminator  2 with AI version 4 was employed on the linear RGB. BlurXterminator 1 with AI 2 was used with original image.

Description: In 2nd revision used arcsin stretch rather than mostly masked stretch. Seems to have much better core in M13.

C

Description: Version three workflow after seeing Adam Block interview with Russ. First run BlurX with correct only (A.I.4). Then SPCC as fluxes are now conserved! . Last do BlurX to sharpen. After that really just arcsin stretch.
