Description

The Orion Nebula is the perfect laboratory for studying star formation. On the one hand, it is only 1,500 light-years from Earth, which is a fairly short distance given the Milky Way's 100,000 light-year diameter, but on the other hand, astronomers can clearly see the center of the Orion Nebula. Because of its brightness, the nebula can be seen with the naked eye. Orion constellation, with its distinctive three bands, rises on winter evenings and stays in the sky until dawn. I was able to take the photo on February 12th, 2022 from my terrace.
