Description

Telescope: 16 inch Boller and Chivens (7400 mm FL)
Camera: SBIG Aluma 694
Arc Secs. per pixel: 0.126
Total exposure time: 5.3 hrs using Ha, OIII and NII filters with RGB for stars.
I always wanted to image this one but couldn't get the whole supernova remnant in the field so just got the central part. 
A worthy project to image again and again for several years to show the expansion of the nebula and the central pulsar's spiralling energy output as a result of synchrotron radiation that can be seen over time. The star that exploded almost 1000 years ago is giving us an opportunity to witness dynamic change in the cosmos.
