Description

As a keen birder also, any celestial object that bears a resemblance to our feathered friends is sure to advance it's position up my imaging 'to do' list!  So this object, also known as The Vulture Head Nebula was a natural choice.  A two night window of clear skies with a reasonably illuminated moon close by prevented me going too deep and I would have liked more colour data but am pleased with the result nonetheless.

The Baby Eagle is part of the Taurus molecular cloud around 400 light years away and very close to the Pleiades star cluster in the sky.
