Description

Last night I had the chance to observe the newly discovered supernova SN2023ixf in Messier 101. Blinking the frames with images taken roughly 1 month ago clearly shows the new "star" that has appeared. Out of curiosity, I tried to extract a light curve out of the data I had taken, my results show a steady increase in magnitude over the night (~4h) from 12.60 to 12.25 mag. Of course these aren't super accurate photometric measurements, but a general trend is definitively visible. Now I will process the images further to make some pretty pictures...
