Description

Right next to the well known objects Heart Nebula and Soul Nebula is this highly interesting region. Unfortunately I got so much recording time, because then clouds rolled in. Since I took this picture on holidays under Bortle 3 skies, I have no chance to get more data on it from the city where I live. It's a super beatiful area of the sky, you can spot so many interesting objects, beside the two reflection nebulae from the Van den Bergh catalog there is also a very faint emission nebula to see.

I used two telescopes mounted in parallel to gather as much data as possible. My modded Pentax K1 with a light pollution filter and my ZWO ASI 294 MC Pro with Antlia ALP-T filter to get some nice Ha and Oiii.

Description: I tried re-edit this image because I was not happy with the color. I wanted to make the red color look a bit more natural, also the blue nebula. For this version I only used the Ha and not the Oiii to push it. I also chose a different framing of the original image, to exclude the soul nebula since it should not be part of this image (it was cutted in the middle).
