Arriba arriba andale andale!!!! who still remember the famous Speedy Gonzales cartoon figure, yup this galaxy is all about him since the first time I hear about it, this is a super challenging target as it never rises above 43deg to the South and you can't image it for more than 3 hours here in MI and having that nasty light pollution of Detroit makes it even more difficult, over the past years I tried different setups and methods and they were all very disappointing compared with people capturing the same target in the southern states or hemisphere as it goes higher in the sky and they get more time to capture it.

Thanks to a new technique that I learned from my friend, I only need to capture 1min sub but get a lot of them which it ended up to be 314 subs and it took me 3 nights to capture those, the new ASI533 camera made all the difference to capture as much details as possible (that was the first challenge), then came the stacking part, PixInSight was have a lot of issues stacking the frames as it can't detect enough stars due to short exposure and for the heavy light pollution, DSS didn't produce the an image that I like, but I was fortunate to know that AstroPixelProcessor can do a better job and it comes with 30day trial and WOW, that software is amazing and not to mention that the gradient and color calibration of APP did a great work (that was the final challenge). I did use PixInSight to enhance and sharpen the image and I hope you like the final version.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
