Description

Finally, a clear night. Had the opportunity to use my new Celestron C9.25 to image the full moon. No reducer, no Powermate. Just the scope and an ASI462MM.  Still learning the ins and outs of using an SCT to image the planets and Moon. Much more to learn. Looking ahead to the summer when Jupiter and Saturn are more favorably positioned.

Langrenus Crater is clearly visible near the center of this image. This is an impact crater that is 132km wide and 4,300m deep. It is located on the eastern edge of the Sea of Tranquility.
