Description

I'm thinking about subscribing to Deep Sky West's TOA-150/FLI ML16200 located in the Atacama Desert in Chile. DSW offers several free data downloads and I wanted to see how their data stacked up.....WOW!! I've only seen images of this object in NB and the data was LRGB, so I hope I got the colors sort of right! The image consists of 24 L@900s, 16 R@900s, 14 G@900s, and 19 B@900s, for a grand total of 18.25 hrs TOT.....nice data set. I was totally blown away with the number of stars in this image (and even the teeny tiny ones are perfectly round). This was taken with the TOA-150/FLI ML16200 using Chroma LRGB filters. NGC1688 is an emission nebula located in the constellation Ara at a distance of approximately 4,000 light-years.

Thanks, again, to Deep Sky West-Chile and their staff for the excellent data!

Hope ya like it!

Tom
