Description

The great Orion Molecular Cloud Complex!

Orion has to be my favorite constellation due to just how active of an area it is, within one image consists of so much nebulosity and other notable  objects, including but not limited to:

Lambda Orionis Molecular Ring surrounding the star Meissa.

Betelgeuse -  a red supergiant that is nearing the end of its life and that is expected to go supernova soon (within around 100,000 years).

Barnard's Loop - A large arc of hydrogen gas, and was likely formed by the effects of one or more supernovae.

The Horsehead Nebula -  A small dark nebula.

Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka - the three stars that make up the Orion's Belt asterism.

The Great Orion Nebula - One of the most famous nebulas out there, A large reflection and emission nebula, that is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye.
