Description

Stepping out in the scorching heat of Kuwait at around 2pm the temperature was around 45 degrees celcius, however I had to image the massive sunspot AR3363.

Rushing to connect all the equipment in order to attempt to minimize the affect of the heat on the camera and sensor I managed to collect several images each consisting of 2000 frames at 120FPS.

To put the heat in perspective, I even managed to burn my hand slightly while removing the grub screws which secure some of the equipment to the telescope.

This however was all worth being able to witness the massive sun spot on our local star.

To show the massive scale of sunspot AR3363 I included scale images of Earth and Jupiter.

Lunt LS100MT solar telescope
