Description

This supernova occurred just about a week ago and i had to jump at an opportunity to try and image it. I've never photographed anything remotely close to a supernova - seeing the result in the final image gave me actual goosebumps. The event is set to take place for another week or so before fading away, and should be visible under relatively short integration times and short focal length.

Origin galaxy: NGC 4647
Supernova type: Ia
