Description

While there are several designations for this area, NGC 3576 for the Statue of Liberty on the right and NGC 3603 for the star cluster on the left seems most commonly used.   NGC 3576 is the star of the show with the loops of gas expelled by dying stars framing what looks a bit like the Statue of Liberty.  https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap220920.html

I'm equally interested in the tight star cluster NGC 3603 on the left.  Nasa states that this contains thousands of young stars and is one of the most massive in the galaxy.  It is 20,000 ly distant so that should account for its small apparent size.  What interests me here are the three small, intensely green gas clouds near the cluster.  It's green here because I used a straight SHO mix and they are non-existent in OIII and barely perceptible in SII.  Yet, in the Hubble images these come out as blue!   The Hubble shot uses these filters: F128N (Paschen-beta), F164N ([Fe II]), F555W (V), F657N (H-alpha), F673N ([S II])  https://hubblesite.org/contents/media/images/3874-Image?Tag=Star%20Clusters

I Linear Fit the Ha data to the OIII and SII data prior to assembling the SHO.  This always makes the color balance I'm looking for much easier to achieve.  BXT and SXT were run on the SHO data prior to stretching.  NXT was done after.  RGB data were captured for the stars.
