Description

It took two failed nights trying to figure out mosaics, but I think it was worth persevering and I managed to capture this on my third try.  Its a 2x2 and 80 mins per panel per filter. I often see less is more when it comes to processing images I am not good in that respect. Too much contrast, too much star reducing, too much noise reduction etc. However (I hope) here I feel like I have done a lot less. After stacking images in Ha I used Pixinsight image solver script, then mosaic by coordinates and finally gradient merge mosaic and the result look great. In post I completed noiseXterminator in linear and simply and lazy ran STF and went with that stretch. I used Bill Blanshan star reduction using PixelMath and completed exact same process the following day on the Oiii. I used LRGB combination tool to create a HOO palate. Finally I added the tiniest of S curves just to provide contrast and the tiniest reduction in the green chanel.

Total 10hrs 40 mins.

I am really happy with this as my first mosaic and I have definitely got the mosaic bug now.
