Description

I was out a couple of nights ago braving the cold (not really - once setup I was inside in the warm). As it was the only clear night for ages I felt I had to do something even though it was ~100% Moon, so I was trying out an even wider field setup than for my previous Fireworks galaxy image. This one was with an ASI533MC colour astro camera attached to a Canon 18-55mm lens at about 24mm, 70 x 120 sec shots on an iOptron Skyguider Pro stacked in APP and processed in StarTools.
You can see the Great Orion nebula and zoomed in just about see the Flame nebula just above Alnitak. No evidence of the Horsehead though.
