Description

Jupiter is in prime position now, and I took a swing at it on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 30-31. My window was pretty narrow, only about two hours before clouds began to appear and seeing deteriorated. I  selected the best 12 videos for this animation with an average frame rate of just under 100 fps. Collectively this animation used 50,000 frames out of 200,000 shot. Ganymede is moving in the upper left, and the Great Red Spot peeks out in the lower left of the planet near the end of the animation. I'm still learning how to do planetary imaging, and my hat is off to those who have mastered it. It's very exacting.
