Gamma Cygni Western Region in H-Alpha

Description

This rather obscure image is also part of the Gamma Cygni/Sadr Region to the west of The Gamma Cygni Nebula, South of The Propeller Nebula and contains the emission/reflection Nebula NGC6914 (see dark nebulae below center).

This area is rich with Hydrogen-alpha (Ha) the signature wavelength of interstellar hydrogen gas being ionized by young, hot stars.
