Description

PK 080-06.1 is a rarely imaged protoplanetary nebula 3,000 light-years distant and about ½ light-year in diameter.  I have no idea where the egg name originated.  A protoplanetary nebula is a short-lived period between being a red giant star and becoming a planetary nebula.
