Description

This is NGC7822 in Cepheus.

We had a break in the weather for one night, so I figured that I would give this object a try.  I captured this with my wide field setup, a Stellarvue 80mm triplet with a reducer/flattener at F/4.8.  The camera is an ASI2600MC Pro with an Optolong L-eXtreme filter.   The mount is an Astro-Physics AP1600 with Absolute Encoders.  Processing was done in PixInsight.

Conditions were windy (about 20mph) with a milky grey sky from a nearly full moon.  There are 192 x 3 minute exposures, unguided.  There was a severe east-west gradient in the green and blue channels from the nearly full moon.  The nebulosity was virtually invisible in the raw, undebayered data from the camera and only came out in processing.
