Description

As much as I like close-up images that show even the most intricate details beautifully, I prefer widefield images, because they give (at least to me) a much more vivid impression of what is in our night sky. This is also true for this widefield image of M16 and M17, on which NGC 6604 had to sneak in cheekily.
