Description

I've been just suffering with all of the rain and clouds this winter season in Phoenix.  Granted, I will never complain about rain as we always need it but why can't the clouds just disappear at 6pm and then come back at 6am?  Is that really such an unreasonable request?

Well moving along.  Someone listened to my complaints and we have about 4-6 clear nights in a row.  I've been continuously improving my Vixen/NYX setup and Sunday & Monday night I was able to image M106 for a total of 144 x 300" subs with my ASI294MC.  Paring that camera with my Vixen is perfect as I have edge to edge flatness and with the OSC I can get a nice color image often in 1 or maybe 2 nights.  I'm liking the fine details in the disk.  Seeing this gives me hope for the rest of galaxy season.  If the skies cooperate, I believe I should be able to get some pretty nice shots of the coming parade of galactic wonders.
