Description

SH2-101 is an emission nebula located in Cygnus.  It is ~6,000ly away and is near the location of the binary system Cyg-X1.  Cyg-X1 is the frequently studied binary with a 15 solar mass black hole and a supergiant that is ~20 solar masses.  The Schwarzschild radius of the black hole is ~45km.
