Sh2-173 is an emission nebula lying 8,800 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is part of the Perseus arm of our Milky Way Galaxy.

https://academic.oup.com/mnras/article/394/2/900/1071710This is my first attempt to image SH2-173, I chose a very damp cool night (We had rain throughout the day) only because the sky was clear by sunset. Guiding was fairly good, but I do think there might have been high thin clouds for the stars in my guide camera looked fainter than usual. Sh2-173 is very faint and I tried two of the 3 Filters I own, the Optolong L-eNhance and the Optolong L-Ultimate, the L-Ultimate won out. I tried increasing the gain to 110 vs 100, but I think I should have stayed at 100. I recently downloaded GraXpert and found it does a better job than SIRIL regarding Background / Gradiant extraction. This data was a bear to process in SIRIL and if I was more adept at PixInsight I would have used it vs SIRIL.
Last night I did see the need and wished I had a filter wheel vs my Filter Drawer and an Auto Focuser, I would have saved myself about 30 min or so last night. So, even though I currently have a OSC vs a Mono Camera, I am going to see about purchasing a ZWO filter wheel and ZWO auto focuser.
