Description

In what was once considered empty space, astronomers discovered the Taurus Molecular Cloud, a vast swath of very faint dust and gas filling the constellations of Taurus, Aries and Perseus. Here is a very small portion of it, in northwestern Taurus, not too far from the Pleiades Star Cluster.
