Description

Found in the constellation Canes Venatici, the globular cluster M3 is a sight to behold through the telescope or camera. Composed of more than a half million stars, this beautiful cluster is close to 34,000 light years away. The great English astronomer, William Herschel, was first to resolve these stars in the year 1784.
