Description

Gum12 - The Gum Nebula

Description:
- The Gum 12 nebula is 1,470 light years away and is the remnants of a Supernova.
- The image is taken using narrowband filters and is artificially coloured.

Details:
- Captured on 02-Apr-22.
- Celestron Edge 11 (280mm aperture, focal length 2800mm, f/10), ZWO ASI1600MM Pro camera (cooled to -10 DegC),
- EQ8Rh Pro mount, ASIair.
- 4x 600sec captures of each of S, H and O narrowband images, using Astrodon filters (2 hours).
- 15x 600sec Darks, 30x Flats, 30x Flat Darks, 30x Bias.
- Processed in PixInsight.
- Image size and resolution reduced for Facebook
