Description

M68 is a globular cluster about 33,000 light years away in the constellation Hydra. According to Wikipedia it has a remarkably low metallicity (low ratio of heavy elements to Hydrogen) and is potentially showing signs of core collapse - not to be confused with type II supernovae.
