First light of my new 12" RC. I was deeply unsatisfied with my previous scope, i couldnt reach FWHM comparable to that of the C11 and star shape was unpleasant. Tube wasnt holding collimation well when slewing from one point in the sky to another. I decided to disassemble the mirrors and send them to CFF to build a custom chassis around them. Catalin was always very reactive and he needed a month and a half to finish the scope, this is the first test. Star shapes are MUCH better and also the FWHM improved a lot, although i still have troubles reaching the same sharpness as the C11. A few things need to be tuned around perimeter setscrews, collimation and tilt. All in all very satisfied with the result, the data was very clean, no color fringe, no weird gradients, just pure awesomeness and a joy to process. Also have to say that i never cared that much for globular clusters but M13 at this focal length looks absolutely gorgeous.
